RBSE School Admission Process in Sikar 2026–27
While each school sets its own exact dates and forms, the overall RBSE admission process in Sikar for the 2026–27 session generally follows these steps:
Step-by-step admission process
• Application window: Most schools open admissions between December and February for the following academic session, though some accept applications until June.
• Form submission: Parents can apply online through the school's official website or collect/submit a physical form from the school office.
• Entry assessment: For Nursery/Primary classes, schools usually hold a short interaction with the child and parents. For Class 6 and above (especially in schools like Matrix, KVM, and Navjeevan), a short entrance/scholarship test is common.
• Document verification: Required documents typically include the child's birth certificate, previous school's transfer certificate (TC) and report card, Aadhaar card, passport-size photographs, and category/caste certificate if applicable for reserved-category benefits.
• Fee payment and seat confirmation: Once selected, the seat is confirmed only after the registration/admission fee is paid within the school's specified deadline.
• Hostel formalities: For residential admission, an additional hostel application, medical fitness certificate, and security deposit are usually required.
How to Choose the Best RBSE School in Sikar
With so many good options, here are the factors that matter most when shortlisting an RBSE school in sikar for your child:
• Board results track record: Check the school's Class 10 and Class 12 RBSE result percentage over the last 2–3 years, not just one exceptional batch.
• Distance and transport: A shorter, safer daily commute (or reliable school transport) matters a lot for younger children.
• Medium of instruction: Decide whether Hindi medium, English medium, or a bilingual approach suits your child's learning style and future goals.
• Infrastructure and safety: Visit the campus to check classrooms, labs, washrooms, playground space, and CCTV/security arrangements.
• Teacher-student ratio: A lower ratio generally means more individual attention, especially in the primary years.
• Fee affordability: Match the total cost (tuition + hostel + transport + activities) against your budget for the full academic year, not just the advertised tuition fee.
• Extracurricular balance: Look for schools that combine strong academics with sports, arts, and life-skills programmes rather than an exam-only approach.
• Parent reviews and school visits: Speak to current parents where possible, and always visit in person before finalising — printed brochures rarely tell the full story.
RBSE vs CBSE Schools in Sikar
Many parents in Sikar weigh RBSE schools against CBSE schools before deciding. Both boards have genuine strengths, and the right choice depends on your child's goals.
Factor | RBSE Schools | CBSE Schools |
Curriculum focus | State-focused, now largely aligned with NCERT content | National curriculum, uniform across India |
Best suited for | Rajasthan government job exams (Patwari, Police, Teacher, RAS) | National-level competitive exams (JEE, NEET, NDA) and inter-state mobility |
Medium of instruction | Widely available in Hindi medium; English medium growing | Predominantly English medium |
Fee levels | Generally more affordable, especially in government schools | Usually higher, particularly in larger private chains |
Recognition | Recognised across Rajasthan and for state-government purposes | Recognised uniformly across India and by many international bodies |
Conclusion
Sikar offers a genuinely strong mix of RBSE schools from long-established residential institutions like Prince School and Matrix High School, to focused science-oriented schools like Navjeevan and KVM, to affordable government-run options for families on a tighter budget. There is no single 'best' school for every child; the right fit depends on your child's learning style, your commute and budget constraints, and whether you are prioritising RBSE board performance or future competitive-exam readiness.
