Includes selection tips for written exam and SSB preparation. - **Status**: published - **Category**: Coaching - **Author**: Akshay Kakkar - **Published**: September 28, 2026 9:10 PM ## Article The National Defence Academy (NDA) is the only examination that lets a Class 12 student become an officer-cadet in the Indian Army, Navy or Air Force at the age of 17 to 19. Lakhs of students apply every year, but only a few hundred seats are available. For the NDA II 2026 cycle, for example, UPSC announced **394 vacancies** for the 158th NDA course and the 120th Indian Naval Academy Course, both starting on 1 July 2027. That gap between the number of applicants and the number of seats is why NDA coaching has become a large industry. It is also why a wrong choice can cost a student a full year and a large amount of money. Some institutes are excellent at teaching Mathematics but weak at SSB (Services Selection Board) training. Others advertise big results without showing how those numbers were counted. We help students and parents compare the **best NDA coaching institutes in India for 2027** in a clear and practical way. It explains the exam, the types of courses, how to judge an institute, and then reviews ten institutes one by one with an editorial rating. ## **NDA 2027 at a glance: dates, eligibility and exam pattern** ### **Important dates (UPSC Annual Calendar 2027)** **Event** **NDA & NA (I) 2027** **NDA & NA (II) 2027** **Notification** 2 December 2026 12 May 2027 **Last date to apply** 22 December 2026 1 June 2027 **Written exam** 11 April 2027 (Sunday) 19 September 2027 ### **Who can apply?** • **Nationality and status:** Indian citizen (other categories are listed in the notification); unmarried male and female candidates. • **Education:** For the Army wing, Class 12 in any stream. Final choice should depend on demo classes, fees, SSB modules, and your location. **Are Google ratings reliable for choosing NDA coaching?** Google ratings are useful for shortlisting because they reflect volume and recent student experience, but they should be paired with verified selection lists, syllabus transparency, batch size, and refund policies. Avoid institutes that only advertise stars without academic detail. **Why is Sikar famous for NDA coaching?** Sikar combines affordable hostel life, a dense coaching ecosystem, and dedicated defence academies with hundreds of Google reviews. Two institutes from Sikar frequently appear on India-wide top-rated lists, making the city a practical hub for Rajasthan and Shekhawati aspirants. **When should I start preparing for NDA 2027?** Most successful aspirants begin structured preparation 12 to 18 months before their target attempt, balancing board exams with maths and GAT practice. Early start also allows gradual physical fitness training required for medical standards. **Does NDA coaching include SSB preparation?** Reputable NDA institutes combine written exam batches with SSB orientation such as OIR practice, group tasks, interview mocks, and personality development. Confirm the duration and cost of SSB modules before enrolling. **What is the NDA written exam pattern?** The UPSC NDA written exam typically includes Mathematics and the General Ability Test (English, science, history, geography, current affairs). Marks and timing follow the official notification; coaching test series should mirror UPSC difficulty and time limits. **Can girls join NDA coaching batches?** Eligibility for NDA entries follows current UPSC rules, which have expanded opportunities for women in recent cycles. Coaching institutes generally run co-ed or separate batches; verify the latest notification on upsc.gov.in before choosing a course. **How much do NDA coaching fees cost in Rajasthan?** Fees vary by institute, batch type (day scholar vs residential), and duration. Compare multiple Sikar and Rajasthan centres, instalment options, and what is included—hostel, study material, and SSB camps—using local fee guides on Sikar Study Point. **Is online NDA coaching enough without classroom classes?** Online coaching can work for disciplined students who attend live doubts and proctored mocks, but SSB practice and peer motivation often benefit from offline or hybrid models. Many Rajasthan students still prefer residential coaching in Sikar or Dehradun. **What should I ask in a demo class before admission?** Ask about faculty credentials, syllabus completion dates, weekly mock tests, SSB mock schedule, batch strength, fee refund rules, and recent selections. Request a written brochure and speak to current students if the institute allows campus visits. - [Akshay Kakkar](https://sikarstudypoint.com/author/akshay-kakkar.md): Author - **Canonical HTML**: https://sikarstudypoint.com/news/best-nda-coaching-institutes-india-2027-google-rated-academies - **Last updated**: Oct 30, 2026 - [Agent index](https://sikarstudypoint.com/llms.txt): llms.txt for this site
